Our Story

Avanza Pasta was first started by brother-sister duo, Pavlos and Eleni, in 2017. But the tradition goes back a bit further: as first-generation children born to Greek-immigrant parents, they always grew up around food. From cooking classic Greek recipes at home, to working the grill at their family-owned restaurant, the unwritten rule was that everything was made from scratch. No shortcuts, just good ole’ fashioned hard work! This underlying principle can be traced back to their Aunt in Greece, who lived near a pasta factory where she would bring her own ingredients to make enough ‘xilopetis’ (egg noodles) to supply their entire extended family for months.

Inspired by her passion for good food, Pavlos and Eleni ultimately took a leap of faith in opening Avanza, where they’ve spent the last five years focusing on food service, working with chefs to provide time-tested recipes that hold up to the most demanding restaurant kitchens. Now, they are taking all the technique mastered from food service to retail, allowing the home cook to bring restaurant quality pasta to their kitchen.
